Nipsey Hussle, born Ermias Joseph Asghedom on August 15, 1985, in Los Angeles, California, was an American rapper, entrepreneur, and community activist known for his music, business mindset, and dedication to uplifting his community. He rose to fame through a series of successful mixtapes that earned him respect as an independent artist in the hip-hop industry.

Nipsey Hussle became widely recognized for projects such as Bullets Ain’t Got No Name, The Marathon, and his Grammy-nominated album Victory Lap. His music often focused on perseverance, self-discipline, ownership, economic empowerment, and overcoming struggle. His slogan “The Marathon Continues” became a symbol of hard work, patience, and long-term success.

Beyond music, Nipsey invested heavily in his neighborhood in South Los Angeles.
